Lyla's been sick with a cold for over a week, and just as she seemed to hit the end of it, her canines started coming in. She's beyond miserable... crying bouts all day long, chewing/drooling on everything, nursing nonstop, sleeping even less than usual. I feel terrible for her... I can't imagine what it must feel like, to be affecting her this much.
Did anyone else's LO have a really tough time with their canines? I've read that they can be the most painful, for whatever reason. How long did it last before finally breaking through? Just hoping for an end in sight... or at least some commiseration. ![]()
Re: Canines = worst teething ever?
Liam had a really tough time with his canines. We had a similar situation with him; he got over a cold just in time to be hit with the teething. It was a tough couple of weeks and rougher than most of the other teeth.
GL to you. It does get better, I promise.
WOW Canines already? I thought DS got a canine but it turned out to be his molar. He has 2 coming through and he isn't a happy camper.
We just got through the first 4 molars last month, so I was hoping we'd have a longer break before the canines started in. But I can feel/see both the top and bottom ones coming through on her right side. Which means we still have the left side after this. Sigh.
I've heard that as well, but DD just popped one of her top ones (the other is on the way) and has had little difficulty, no diaper rash, no fever, no drooling, nothing other than being a little more tired than usual. She definitely had a harder time with her molars. I do give her some orajel, which she seems to really like.
