7 month old twins check in!

Just wondering where everyone is at?  I like to get a baseline, even though my guys were preemies... we're fairly on target for most milestones...

Are your twins.....

  1. Rolling over?
  2. Eating solids?
  3. Drinking from a sippy cup?
  4. Teething?
  5. Sitting unassisted?
  6. Crawling?

Re: 7 month old twins check in!

  • 1.Yes

    2. Yes

    3. Nope, they'd rather bang them on the tray

    4. 2 bottom teeth apiece (the first one came in within 3 hours of each other)

    5. Yes

    6. Nope, no interest.

    They were born at 36w4d.

  • Both my girls are preemies too.  Born 6 1/2 weeks early

    1. Lauryn has been rolling over for awhile and I am proud to say Ava rolled over for the first time last night

    2. Yes, they started at a little over 6 months

    3. Havent even tried yet.  Still working on solids

    4. Lauryn has her two bottom teeth. Ava is definitely teething but no actual teeth

    5. Not at all, barely tripoding

    6. Not at all, not even showing interest

    1. Rolling over? Yep, all over the place.
    2. Eating solids? Into 2nd stages.
    3. Drinking from a sippy cup? They can but only occasionally.
    4. Teething? Not at all.
    5. Sitting unassisted? Mostly but they still like to face dive to reach toys.
    6. Crawling? They can get to their knees but they haven't gone anywhere yet.

    1. Rolling over?   Yes.
    2. Eating solids?  Yes.
    3. Drinking from a sippy cup?  Not really.  I just give them a little water in it and they hold it, suck and let the water run all over.
    4. Teething?  No teeth yet.
    5. Sitting unassisted?  Yes, but they do fall over at times.
    6. Crawling?  Only one is.

  • 1.  Yes, like crazy.  (Since 4 months)

    2.  Yes, and they love them.

    3.  Yes, usually pretty good unassisted, but sometimes they need me to prop up the bottom so the water goes in the spout.

    4.  I think they've been teething forever, but no actual teeth have made an appearance yet.

    5.  Yes.

    6.  No, not even close.  They show no interest in crawling.

  • My guys were born at term (38w1d)

    1. Rolling over? Gray is rolling all over the place. Gibby rolls front to back but not back to front- and doesn't really have much interest in rolling much at all- he's a chunk - so I assume that is why :)  He's 23lbs now!
    2. Eating solids?  They have been since 5mo. We started cheerios about a week ago - they love them but i have to put them in their mouth- they can't really grasp them yet.
    3. Drinking from a sippy cup? No- I will start around 10m for practice to get them to sippies totally by 12mo.  I started Griffin around 7mo with a sippie to practice and it was a lot of wasted time for him.
    4. Teething? Not that I can tell... they have been drooling machines for months - chew on everything- but no teeth and nothing i can see or feel. Griffin didn't get his first until 8mo...
    5. Sitting unassisted?  Yes- they both do this really well.
    6. Crawling? Gray seems close... Gibby = nowhere near close :) He's happy to just lay where he is... Gray wants to get around so I think he'll be crawling soon- he's starting to pull his legs underneath him while laying on his belly.  Griffin didn't crawl until 9mo.
  • just wondering- do your babies hold their own bottle? Gibby does but Gray refuses to - i put his hands on it and he pulls them away -- he wants me to do it! He'll grab at anything else- but not his bottle, lol.

  • 1. yes have been for about 3 months.

    2. yes since 5 months, they eat 2 meals per day and have a mum mum snack.

    3.more like playing than drinking.

    4. they both have two bottom teeth since before Christmas and seem to be going through another teething spell.

    5. not for more than a few seconds.

    6. William will probably crawl first, he is already trying to "commando crawl" but can only go backwards.  Sarah would much rather roll to where she needs to go.

Goldie: They both try to hold their bottles...William puts in and pulls out constantly so there is no real drinking.  Sarah will hold her bottle for like a minute before she gets lazy and quits.
