  I like it!  I also like the Milla spelling, and I think it will flow well with an Italian last name.

  I've known 2 Milas (mee-la) and always thought it was lovely.  BTW both were Bulgarian.  perhaps it has a meaning in Bulgarian or Russian that would be nice to know

  The Mila (mee-la) that I knew was Ukrainian, and it was short for Ludmila, I believe. Probably the same for the ones you know that are Bulgarian?

  I love that name! One of my dear friends is named Camila (pronounced     Ca-mee-la), and I have always called her Mila (Mee-la) as a nn. I think it's beautiful!
