Does your LO care for there playgym?

Mine seemed pretty bored with it although he did stare at his reflection for a bit! (see evidence below) But he got bored with it real quick, I mean like 1 minute real quick! But then while I brought him in the bathroom to get the tub ready, he stared at the wall for like 5 minutes as I showered real quick before I brought him in...Does your LO do that? Maybe we shouldn't even buy toys! lol.

  • Our LO loves his gym.  His fovorite part is the mirror.  I let the lights on it entertain him during diaper changes.
  • We have an Infantino Explore and Store Gym.  My LO loves to stare at the little plushies and grab the rings while he's listening to music.  We can keep him occupied for 30 - 45 minutes that way.

  • I'm trying to decide which playgym we are going to get so no answer to your question, but I wanted to tell you how cute your LO is! :)

  • The playmat/playgym is LO's favorite toy!  He bangs the rattle around and grabs onto them and pulls and kicks his legs and talks to himself in the mirror.  I think all babies are different in what they like just like grown ups.  Lots of LO's love the swing but mine hates it.

Really? He hasn't tried to grab yet! I tried putting things in his hands but he doesn't seem to interested! Although he has started sucking on his hand if his paci isn't in his mouth!

He was kicking his arms and legs a bit! Maybe he did like it but got bored real quick!

  • Jack just started enjoying his playmat about a week ago. He accidentally batted one of the toys while flailing around and then got really excited. Now it will keep his attention for 15 minutes or so.

  • DS digs his play mat. Or at least he did until the damn flashing/music playing star on top died a sad little death. Stupid Baby Einstein play mat. If I had read the reviews online, I would've known that darn near every reviewer (out of 50+ on Target.com) complained that the best part of the mat--the star--died after a few weeks of ooh-ing, aah-ing, and giggling.

Damn you, Baby Einstein. Your star was the first thing my kid smiled at...and now it's dead.

(And yes, I changed the batteries. DH's first question to me, of course...he got a death glare....like I hadn't thought of that).

Ours is a baby einstein. Is it the same one? Cause that would suck if it stopped working!

Oh ok! No ours is different! But it has a thing that lights in the middle like that one does. I hope it doesn't stop working! He didn't seem to amused by it any way but maybe he will soon!

A reviewer on Amazon said that they contacted Kids II (the company that distributes Baby Einstein products) and they sent a new sun no questions asked...I just emailed them, so hopefully I get a replacement! Just an FYI in case yours stops working--I've been reading not-so-great things about some BE products lately.
