Update...Just got home from Ortho and DS has a cast!

Hey everyone! I called the Ortho this morning as soon as they opened and luckily they said come in right away. I went in to get DS up and he was happily playing with splint that he had taken off his foot!

We got to the ortho and they said it was a tibia fracture. We told him about going to Disney next week and he said let's put him in a waterproof walking cast.

It was HARD for them to put the cast on. DS screamed and kicked and DH and I and 2 nurses had to hold him down. Halfway through the poor guy gave up, calmed down and just watched.

Anyways, he is doing GREAT! He is running around and climbing even with the cast on. So we are still going to go to Disney next week and play it by ear. He only has to wear the cast for 2 weeks.

That pic is adorable! I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this--it must be tough. I saw your OP. I always worry about DS and even moreso now--he's such a monkey. But if they are crying out in pain, how would we ever know???? Hope he recovers very quickly.
