  • DS started standing independently on jan. 12 and he now can walk across the room by himself

  • oooh i wanna know too... i'm not ready for her to walk, but she's standing so well on her own now!

  • DD can independently stand and cruises like a champ, but I honestly think she is afraid to let go.  The second she realizes she isn't holding onto anything, she sits down.  I think the range can be quite large when it comes to these mobility milestones.

She walks all around the house with this thing:

A coworker told me to get her a doll stroller.

Almost exactly the same- she started standing on her own in early January, and just last week started walking around on her own.

A stroller is a great idea! DD loves babies!

  • I think it really varies. DD has been standing independently since 9.5 months. She can get into standing position unassisted, she can crouch down to pick something up and stand back up, she can dance without holding onto furniture...hell, she can even jump. But no walking yet. She has only taken steps, but like F4F's DD, she realizes it and then immediately sits down.
  • DD started walking 6 weeks before she could stand independently. i have no explanation.
