Sulphur Smelling Baby Gas?

Just looking for a little help here before I pick up the phone and call the pedi!  The past 2 days my LO has had really bad gas to where he cries before it comes out and once he does pass it, it smells AWFUL!  I know baby gas stinks, but this smells different, like really full of sulphur as if he has been eating eggs or something.

He hasn't pooped since the day before yesterday, but he is breastfed and formula fed.  I haven't ate anything any different and I give him mylicon, but that only seems to help for a little bit. 

I'm thinking this sulphur smell isn't normal, but I don't want to be the mom that calls the pedi for every little freak out!

    What kind of formula have you been using?  DS had HORRIBLE smelling gas when we gave him Similac Advance.  It was beyond terrible.  It was way too harsh on his little tummy.  We switched to Enfamil Gentlease (and now Target Up & Up), and he's doing much better.

    Thank you for responding!  He is on Similac Advance as well.  I have some Enfamil samples to try and see if that helps any.  How did you make the switch between formulas?  Did you do it gradually to get them used to it or just go right from one to the other?

    We did not switch gradually, just went right from one to the other.  Do you have a sample of Enfamil Gentlease?  If so, I would try that.  The key is to use a formula that has "partially broken down proteins".  That will be easier on his stomach.

    Seriously, though, my DS smelled so bad for the few days he was on Similac Advance.  It wasn't even just when he had gas, he just had a weird smell about him at all times.  I just wanted my sweet-smelling baby back!  Good luck!
