I just read your FFFC and there are so many posts on there I didn't know if you'd see this.

Have you considered telling your boss you'd voluntarily go home? Talk to your DH and see what he thinks about that. Maybe tell your boss you'd be willing to leave to protect someone else's job but that you'd like to have some kind of package, like one month's salary, to make the transition easier.

Some companies will let you do that, and if you say that you're doing it to protect someone else they might not feel like you're not a team player.

My dad's company does that--that's why I mentioned it.

    If it comes to that, I'd seriously consider it.  I certainly wouldn't want to sit there miserable at mt job (and bumping all day) if they were about to lay someone off that wanted to be there.

    Thanks for the kind and constructive suggestion.  When I saw my SN in the subject line I almost threw up bc I thought I'd caused some drama!
