Pepcid vs. Zantac

in Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Anyone try both;  which one was better?  What dose are you giving?  DD is on pepcid and I am thinking of considering zantac b/c my ped says shes on the max does for her weight/age (.35mLs) and she's still smells like acid.

    we didn't try both.  we maxed out of zantac so we added prevacid.  we have since tried weaning off of zantac....but then his reflux acts up.  so we are still on both (though his reflux has been bad this week....it may need to be increased bc of his weight...i am calling doctor in the morning).  GL!

    I really appreciate all your replies!  It really helps!  I don't feel the pepcid is working and they haven't really adjusted her does in the last 2 months, in which she's gained 3 lbs.

    Can I ask what the maximum dose of Zantac is?  DD only takes 0.8ml and it doesn't seem to be working anymore.  I am going to talk to the pedi but I sometimes give her a little more and was wondering about the max.

    Don't know what the max is for Zantac but DD is on .35mLs of Pepcid.

    Pedi prescribed 1ml of Zantac twice daily, his weight was 13lbs 3oz at the time.
