Help! Watch battery

DH said Allie may have eaten a watch battery.  I JUST read an article yesterday about a 13 month old dying from eating a watch battery.  The acid and current is what killed him.  Should I call the pedi immediately?  Or wait to see if she starts acting differently????

  • call the pedi asap.  better safe than sorry.  any ideas of where it would've gone besides her mouth?  rolled somewhere?

  • Honestly, if you really think she may have eaten it, I'd call the pedi immediately.  If they are concerned, they might want to do an x-ray or something to see if she really ate it, if it's serious!  Personally, I wouldn't wait.

  • Absolutely, call your pedi.  Personally, I would call him on my way to the ER.

This!  Batteries of ANY kind are not something you can not worry about.
