Still down 4 lbs. I eat all the time but am always nauseous and still vomiting a couple of times per day. I would have to gain almost 6 lbs per week in order to meet Dr Luke's 20x20.
ETA: off to a lunch buffet, for serious!!!

I am Canadian so there may be different guidelines but my ob didn't give me a weight target. She said to have 2500 calories per day of high quality
nutritious foods. I am 23 weeks and at my last appointment I had gained 10lbs and she said she couldn't be happier. My babies are measuring perfect at the ultrasound and from my belly measurement. I think that is what matters most.
If a healthly non prego woman needs 1800 cals a day, 2500 is really just a couple of extra fruits and glasses of milk!
If your doc isn't worried you shouldn't be either...not good for the babes!
don't stress about the Dr. Luke's weight stuff.... while the book is really great, it isn't the end all and I found myself freaking out about a few things mentioned in the book. I was also down in pounds at week 16 and then at my 18 week appointment I gained 4 pounds - and had no idea how i had done it, i really didn't change anything about my eating habits. I figured it was the babies kicking it into gear. Now at week 20, i've gained 3 more pounds - and really haven't changed anything. I feel great and the doctors are pleased, nothing weird is going on, the babies' measurements are right on, so I've decided not to live this pregnancy in fear, but to enjoy every minute of it - it might be the only time I do this!!
I'm still down 6lbs too. I try not to freak out about it, and my doctor didn't seem concerned at my last appointment. I'm just not starting to feel a little bit better, where I can actually eat at least two meals a day.
My OB does not follow those guidelines. At 16w, the babies are still small, and are taking all they can from you. Hopefully soon you can start tolerating more food, but don't worry about 20 by 20.

Thank you for these words, I need to follow this advice! This may be the only time I'll ever be pregnant as well.
Thanks for all the encouragement, ladies, I'm SURE I'll catch up.

Jumping in here but I didn't start gaining any weight until late in the pregnancy. I only gained 28lbs for my twin pregnancy and I think 26 or so for my singleton pregnancy. If your Dr isn't concerned I wouldn't worry about it.
I am preg with trips- but seems like we are in the same place as far as due date. I have only gained 10 lbs, and im not so sure its that much. I throw up daily, barely eat. I spend more time worrying about food and gaining weight than I do anything else. I am reading Dr Lukes book too so I am semi-freaked. BUT- we went to the dr today- the babies are measuring ahead one week- so I guess they are getting what they need. My dr wasnt too concerned since the babies are looking good. Dont beat yourself up just do what you can!
Re: all this weight talk is scaring me.. I'm still down at 16+ weeks
Is your doc concerned?
I use my OB as my barometer, because I trust him. If he's not concerned, I'm not either.
