ERGO side carry=FAIL

I feel like such an idiot. I watched a couple videos on youtube so I think that I did it correctly but DS hated it and my neck hurt after about 5 minutes. It just doesn't seem comfortable nor easy to get the LO into. It is as if ERGO half-assed a way to make a side carry when people complained that they needed one.

    I agree - it's not my favorite.  Lots of bulk and little support.

    i don't like it either.  the strap rests on my neck, not my shoulder.

    I hate it, too. I even went to a baby-wearing store to make sure I was doing it right and to explore other side-carry slings. Side-carrying and me are just not meant to be.

    The only hip carry that works well for us is a padded shoulder ring sling (we have a Maya wrap). Wraps, MTs, and structured carriers are just too much and not typically designed for hip carries. The sling just replaces my arm for the most part.
