Anyone still use positioner?

Does anyone still use the positioner when LO sleeps. We swaddle DD and put her in her positioner when she goes to bed. She sleeps really good and never fights either. The other night I tried to put her down without it and she cried and was fine after I put it back in. I really don't see any issue with it but was just wondering if anyone else used it.

  • We still use it. He seems to sleep better with it.

  • We were using it, but at our 4 month wellness visit, the doctor asked us to stop.  She said that because Zoe is starting to really roll, we shouldn't use it.  She could get herself stuck in it, facedown in the mattress or her head could get stuck in between the positioner.  We just have to keep a good eye on her until she can really roll back and forth without any problems.  It's stressful, I will say that!

  • We still use the swaddle and sleep positioner. LO sleeps on her back and NEVER rolls over during the night (or even during the day), for that matter. So, for now, we swaddle and position. She does manage to get out of her swaddle through the night - and then we just leave her like that. But, if for any reason she really wakes up (other than just needing her paci put back in) we reswaddle. For instance, she usually eats at 5 a.m. and I have to re-swaddle and put her back to bet until 8 or 8:30 a.m.

    THIS, exactly!!!

DD is now a big roller! But only from back to tummy..she skipped from tummy to back. I am freakin' out about this wondering if she'll roll herself back over. I am now afraid she'll stuff her face into the crib and not be able to breath. UGH! Just when we were kinda starting to sleep again, I havta listen intently on the monitor for her breathing...

  • i just stopped using it last night b/c he has learned to roll over - he slept the same.
  • Yep--- I swaddle him and put him between it in case he decides to roll.

  • We still use it.  DD loves to sleep on her side, so this helps her stay put through the night.
