Those that used a sleep positioner

How did you transition out of using it?

I read that when baby starts moving around a lot then you need to stop using it.  Well Aubrey is moving lots. There were a couple of times she had flipped herself in the positioner onto her belly as well. I guess it's time to get rid of it.

We tried last night but she kept waking herself up...I went in at least once every hour to calm her down and get her back to sleep.  She hates sleeping on her back with a passion (hence why we had the positioner in the first place because she was constantly flipping herself to her side so I figured a positioner would keep her from flipping to her tummy).

She's rolling over from tummy to back now and has really good neck control so I am wondering if we could just put her down on her side like she is used to just without the positioner.

Any suggestions?

  • J got to where he didn't like sleeping in it, so we took it out of the bed one night and he slept fine without it...he has always been a side-sleeper too :)

This. K just kept rolling out of it at night so we did away with it. It messed up her sleep where she would wake up a little more at night for a couple weeks, but eventually got used to it.

When we used it she was always a back sleeper. Now, she prefers to sleep on her stomach.
