  We just grill them, eat them plain with mustard and beans.  Nothing special but super good!

  I always serve bratwurst with homemade saur kraut and perogies or like you do.

  But you can also use them in place of smoked sausage or kielbasa's in dishes like risotto or chopped up with angel hair pasto tossed in basil pesto.

  My H always makes them. He steams them in beer and then cooks them in a pan.

  This.  Having grown up in Milwaukee, that's how we did it.  Actually, we boiled a lot of stuff in beer.
