MoMs do you find Boppies useful?

I got an EZ-2-Nurse pillow for BFing but I have also heard that Boppies are good for holding babies in your lap, bottle feeding, and a variety of other purposes.  Would you say that's true?  They are 15% off at BRU.com now, so I was wondering if I should pick a couple up, or if I wouldn't really use them...

  • You NEED 2 boppies! They were and still are used every single day around here. At first I used them a lot for the girls to just lay in because they were comfortable there.  As they learned to sit up we used them to put around them to help support them. Now we still use them daily for when we are bottle feeding them at the same time or for them to lay in while I'm reading to them.

    You definitely want two!!

  • I had 2 boppies and I loved them!  I used them to prop the boys when they were infants, then when they were able to control their heads better, I used them when I fed both boys at once, then I used it for tummy time and now I use them so that my boys can sit with the boppy around his bum so he doesn't fall backwards.

  • My most used baby item!!!  I use them to actually tandem nurse, I think I"m the only MoM who does but it works for me.  It's a good starting tool for tummy time to work on their neck muscles.  They like to sleep in it.  VERY useful.  Definitely need 2!!
  • Oh yeah.  Tandem bottle feeding especially.

My girls would also love to nap in them when they were sick.

  • I'm using one right now.  I have an EZ2 Nurse and I rarely use it.
  • we use both every day for feeding and tummy time too. 2 are a def. MUST around here.
  • I have one that I used for DD and LOVED it. It was seriously one of the greatest things I ever got. I guess now that I'm having twins this time I need to go out and get another one since everyone is saying two is a must. =)

Definitely!  I used them all the time to bottle feed (I BF some too with EZ2Nurse, but my supply wasn't that great).  I used them so much for feedings I got a second set at a consignment sale so I had one set in the living room and one in their bedroom.

  • I have 2 boppys and a boppy newborn lounger and I use them ALL THE TIME! :) Especially the newborn lounger...I love putting both of them on it together to give them cuddle time together. And they love snoozing in it. I'll be so sad when they are too big to lie in it together, which will probably be really soon!

btw....I bought one of my boppys from a MoM sale and the other one from Craigslist. They are very easy to find used and you can wash both the boppy and the cover.

  • You need two boppies.  We use them all the time to put them in and they love them.  But for BF I prefer the EZ2nurse pillow, even if I am just BFing one of them, I prefer that pillow.  That's just me though!
  • I got my Boppys for $16 each at HomeGoods. They were the ones with the slightly more expensive covers, too (BRU price is $44.50 for the Boppy with that cover).

Check your HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, and Ross before paying the BRU price!

  • we have 4 boppies - 2 upstairs, 2 downstairs, and use them all the time.  Gibby is laying in one as we speak- he is more comfy in it so i let him nap in one. We used to use them for tummy time... now we use them all the time to put around them when they are sitting playing b/c they often fall backwards.

I never really used the boppies that much for feeding- but did for a ton of other things!

  • We have two. They have been LIFESAVERS! I have 1 extra slipcover that I always keep clean in case of messes.
  • Like the other posters have said - yes you need two!!!
  • We love our Boppies!  The girls don't like to lay flat on their back unless really sleepy so they lounge in them all the time. 2 Boppies and 2 Bouncers have been the best items for us so far.

    YES!!!!!!!

  • If there is one thing I am certain we used more than anything else, it's the boppies.  We had two and needed two.  We used them in the beginning just for when they were laying.  And then also for laying in after having a bottle b/c they had a little bit of reflus.  Then again for when we could feed them at the same time.  Then I used them as an elevated way to sleep in the crib after a night feeding.  Now for help when sitting up and sometimes I lay one in them if they need to have breathing treatment.
