I don't have the approved list of meds with me and I'm miserable here at work. I've got to find something I can take. I'm not coughing all that much, just sinuses. It's like a head cold. TIA
Sudafed is on my list but safefetus.com says it can cause birth defects. I found that the risks far outweighed my miserableness. I used a netti pot and just let my body fight it off.
I stayed away from antihistamines and took an occasional sudafed, mucinex, mucinex-d. The mucinex I take once a few times a week (depending on how I feel) to help prevent bronchitis.
There should be a safe meds list in the packet the doctors office gave you. If you can't find it and aren't going back for an appt soon, let me know and I will scan and email it to you. Hope you feel better, babe!

Also, try calling a local pharmacy near your doctor's office. I found out most of them here keep a list of each office's approved medicines.
Seriously - if it's sinuses go and get a Neti-pot from the pharmacy. Those things are amazing!!! And if it workd for you like it does for me you can avoid taking meds

This. I had 2 horrible sinus/head colds last spring during the early part of second trimester and a neti-pot worked wonders. I didn't have to take anything because it worked that well.

TRIPLE THIS! It works wonders!!! And AYR (saline nasal mist)- you can carry that to work with you and use it throughout the day when you can't use the neti pot.
Drink LOTS of fluid to also flush it out of your system. Hope you feel better!
