Do BH feel like cramps?

I know I should know the answer based on how many posts we have, but I'm feeling really crampy today, but they aren't like on and off just kinda there..just wondering what it is.

Re: Do BH feel like cramps?

  • No, at least for me, BH feel like my belly's getting rock hard. Just the belly though, no where near where i'd feel menstrual cramps (which is what most people say "real" contractions feel like). I had several menstrual-type cramps yesterday and was kind of worried, but they stopped, and I have tons of BH usually several times a day since about 15 weeks.

This except mine only started over the weekend... sorta freaked me out at first but once I figured out what it was I feel a lot better.

  • I never had BH, but I did get crampy sometimes.  If I took it easy and drank a lot of water it normally went away!

  • Before my dr. appt last week, I felt a tightness in my belly for what felt like a good part of the day.  So when I asked him what it could be, he said that these were BH.  As long as it doesn't get worse, more frequent for longer intervals and is not assoc with pain, it is fine and expected around this time.  I also find that putting my feet up and drinking lots of water helps.

That's what I'm trying to do, thanks ladies!

  • MY BH used to just be this weird tightening of the belly with no cramps, but they really started to ramp up the past two weeks and now I have AF like cramps with them.  I think they get more intense the further along you are.  I'd ask your dr at your next appt to be sure, they might check your cervix.
