I have to take both kids with me today to my dentist appointment. I am hoping Karly will sleep. Any suggesttions for my 21 month old??

    Ugh.... I hate it when I have to take them places like that!

    The #1 trick for buying time for us is snacks.  And I dole them out VERY VERY slow to stretch it out.

    If you're a TV watching family and have a portable DVD player I think that's the way I'd go.

    I agree with the snacks.  Also, DS1 is 21 months and is fascinated with drawing with an ink pen right now, so a pen and piece of paper will keep him entertained for a long time.  Also, a couple favorite books.
