Has anyone been able to wear their wedding rings the entire time? Did anyone have a traumatic experience getting them off because they were too stubborn to take them off before it was too late?
I'm not quite an elder, but mine still fit. Unless I get dramatically bloated in the next couple of weeks it looks like I'll probably be able to wear them the whole time... we'll see!
I'm not an elder but mine stopped fitting comfortably last week. I can get it on but when I go inside a warm building, my finger swells and I get nervous. So lately I have been wearing it around my neck on a chain. I don't want to have to get it cut off.
EDIT: I don't think my ring is having a hard time fitting because of swelling but rather weight gain, which I suppose it a type of swelling but less attractive.
I just took my rings off on Monday. They still fit fine, but when I had the first c/s they pumped me up with a bunch of fluids and I got pretty swollen and it was tough to get them off. I figured I'd just remove them now and bypass the few days of discomfort.
Here I am.. big as a house knocked up and no rings. Been that way ever since.
My Signature won't work! I am a proud mommy of two (1&3) and starting an adventure to help a family having a baby through surrogacy.

I'm not an elder yet, but I haven't been wearing mine since about week 25. I picked up a new set, just a fake engagement ring and wedding band so I wouldn't feel so naked. The second engagement ring is starting to get tight and I may have to leave that off soon too.
I wore mine until I took them off this morning before my shower- that's when I noticed a significant indentation in my fingers and decided I should leave them off. My rings used to be slightly loose so I'm a little sad that I've become bloated! Everyone is different.. I didn't even realise they were getting restrictive until I took them off this morning!
Not an elder, but wanted to pipe in and say, I stopped being able to wear mine maybe last week. I tried to wear them on my birthday when DH took me out and I panicked when I tried to get them off! Now they are in my jewlery drawer until after LO gets here. I thought of putting them on a chain, but anything that touches my neck makes me vomit...so thats out.
Not an elder, but I took off my rings around week 22ish. I normally have really skinny fingers, and they've filled out a bit (maybe just overall weight gain?), so I had to wrestle them off. Other than that, no other signs of swelling elsewhere.
Mine stopped fitting around 6 months. It wasn't a traumatic thing, but I couldn't get them off for about a day & a half. As soon as my hands got cold enough & the swelling went down a little, I greased up & popped those suckers off.
I've been wearing DS3's "diamond ring" he bought me as a Christmas present from the school's Santa Shop. It's adjustable.
I wore my rings my entire pregnancy with DS and I was pregnant during the hot summer. I only have a few weeks to go this time and I see no reason why I wouldn't be able to this time. I eat pretty healthy and exercise and never had bloating or swelling in either pregnancy.
I had to stop wearing my rings around 35 weeks. I tried to take them off one night before bed and it was stuck! I had to put on a ton of lotion and practically have DH pull my finger off to remove it. FWIW I have major swelling in my feet too, and it doesn't help that I stand up at work all day.
I'm not an elder yet this time, but I never had any swelling and was able to wear my rings throughout my first pregnancy and wore my wedding band during delivery. So far I'm still wearing them this time too.

No problems getting my rings on or off... though that reminds me, I do need to clean them!
Definately this.... I was looking at my rings the other day and thinking that I needed to get them cleaned....

Swelling was bothering me several weeks ago so I finally gave up. I could probably get them on if I tried, but I go up and down so much during a given day that I'd rather just be comfy and not worry about losing them by having to take them off mid-day.

I could still be wearing mine. I don't have chronically swollen fingers, just depends on what I've eaten that day.
That said, I showed DH my fingers on a fat day, and he freaked out and asked me to PLEASE take them off. So I complied.
