GD: Dreamfield's Pasta?

Okay, so this magical box of pasta promised me that it had 5grams of digestible carbs, and that each serving should be counted as such.

My postprandial sugar was 164. This is my question: have any of you ladies had successful numbers after eating Dreamfield's? My lunch and dinner sugars have been running high as of late anyway - I'm up to 15 units of insulin before each meal.

Is it me or the damn "magic" pasta?

Re: GD: Dreamfield's Pasta?

  • I've actually had good luck with dreamfields. I was really skeptical, but I get great numbers.  I only have one serving size obviously, and I usually have it with a low fat alfredo (less carbs than most of the red sauces I checked) and grilled chicken for protein.  My meal guideline is 30g, and I think a serving of dreamfields was 40ish (actual # on the nutrition label, not the "digestable" #).  In theory it definitely should be putting me around 45-50 with the sauce, but like I said, I get great numbers with it.

  • My nutritionist told me that I could try it but to not be surprised if it didn't give me good readings.  She said there is a lot of controversy in the "nutrition world" about this pasta.

  • I actually tried it for the 1st time last night in chilli & my numbers turned out really good. My nutrionist talks about it everytime I see her, she highly reccommended it. I couldn't taste a difference in it at all, so I'm gonna stick with it!
