Infertility

Lap today. Finally a diagnosis!

Stage 3 endo it is.  It is on my bladder, left ovary and a couple of other places too.  I am on Lupron depot for 3 months.  We have our follow up appointment in two weeks to see where to go after our three month break.  RE said there is a 30% chance that it will grow back after a year and a half.

Surgery went really well.  I am not in too much pain thanks to the Vicodin!  I am just tired and ready to sleep it off.  Now I just need to google Lupron Depot to figure out exactly why I am taking it!

TTC since 6/08 SA and HSG normal Lap 1/10-Diagnosed with Stage 4 Endo Lupron Depot for 3 months Acupuncture and Chinese herbs since 1/10 IUI #1- C/P IUI #2- BFN Lap/Hysteroscopy 4/11-Stage 3 endo and polyp removed IVF scheduled for July 2011

  • So glad you finally have a diagnosis!  Did you have any symptoms of endo?

  • Yay for finally getting an answer!

I *think* you're taking it to induce false menopause thereby decreasing estrogen production, which is what feeds endo.  I *think*.  But I could be wrong.

    You are right Yoda.

It is pretty standard protocol after a lap where endo is discovered.  I had to fight my OB to not start it as I was not a fan of some of the possible long term effects of the Lupron Depot.

  • I'm glad you got a dx! Stay on that vicodin and feel better!

  • Yoda-you are right.  It is a "medical menopause".

I really didn't have any symptoms.  I did have heavier periods and pretty good cramping but it was only for one day.  I did spot a little bit before starting AF which I guess is a sign.  Other than that, nothing!
