Steroid shots?

I received my 2nd dose of steroid shot yesterday. My question is this just a precaution just in case they need to deliver LO early, or do they usually intend to deliver LO early? TIA!

    I think it depends on your specific situation--I know my dr's chose to err on the side of caution and give me them in case anything happened to change that would cause me to deliver early--better to be safe than sorry esp since there is really on downside to getting them

    I got my shot at 27 weeks 6 days and they said they will give me another round if I am still pregnant in a month, which means next week after my u/s I will probably get another round whether they decide to induce me that day or not

    I dont think getting them necessarily means they are 100% going to deliver you early

    I agree. I got one round at 30 weeks and another round at 34 weeks. Both times the doctor said "In case this baby decides to make an early appearance".
