I have 15 days to go until my due date. This whole time my hubby and I have been settled on naming our son Milo. We both just liked that it was sort of unique but not weird. But, now that I am getting closer to having him, I am really nervous that it might not be the "right" name. What do you guys think of the name Milo? Anyone else out there in the same boat? It's just such a huge decision... Ugh.
Re: Anyone second guessing their name choice?
HA! My DH would shoot me!!! We've had this name picked out since before we were even engaged, and one of the biggest fights in our marriage so far has been how to spell it!
I like the name Milo. I think it's cute for a baby, trendy for a teenager, and sopisticated enough for a businessman someday!
I think the name Milo is adorable.
DH and I are 2 of the most indecisive people on Earth, so coming up with names for our kid has been a big challenge for us. We have a list of 3 girls names and 3 boys names, but keep changing our minds and second guessing ourselves. So, I don't think your alone.
I like it a lot, too! I also like Miles with nn Milo if you feel like Milo is too out there.
PP... I am curious how ELSE you would spell it?
I had a little freak out not very long ago about the same thing. I was just really worried that the name wouldnt fit her. We just decided to go into the hospital planning on naming her Amelia, and then we have a back up name if we meet her and decide that one is better.
FWIW, I really like Milo
Milo is a nice name. I'm hoping that once LO is here I feel like he really "fits" the name we have chosen. We had picked it out over five years ago.
I did second guess things today when DH told a lady at the hardware store what the name was and she said, "honey, this isn't Hollywood you know". I thought that was a little rude....
That is very very rude! Some people need to be punched in their big open mouths!
I am second guessing our boy name just a little; DH is not second guessing. I love the full name, and that is what we would call him, but there are some shortened versions that I don't care for as much. But when lokking at all the baby name lists, I keep going back to the name we picked and there isn't one I like better.
I think Milo is ok. Go with what you like.
