160 g of protein!!! I ate eggs with breakfast, a chicken and cheese sandwich for lunch, a yogurt for a snack (along with some other things!)... and I'm still only up to 47 g (I know this because I'm trying out the calorie counter and food diary app on my phone today).
The US Dept. of Agriculture recommends a normal breastfeeding woman consume 65 g, so I'm thinking they'd say maybe 80 for twins.
Holy cow... how are you supposed to consume 160 g of protein?!?!? There's no way that's ever going to happen for me. I already have to force myself to eat more meat than I'd prefer, and I don't like milk, although I'll drink it.
Re: Dr. Luke's breastfeeding nutrition guidelines
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
Mom to Megan(5), Bridget(4), Tessa and Annie (2) and Mary (brand new)
i just read the part last night where she says to try and eat 2 servings of red meat a day and that it was ok to eat ice cream before bed every night. is this for real?!?! i would vomit if i ate all that red meat and had real ice cream. does anyone follow dr. luke's guidelines for eating? i'm all about feeding the little ones, but seriously, i don't know if i can eat ALL that she says.
