Is this sciatic nerve pain?

I feel like my DH kicked me right above my butt kinda in my lower back above my butt cheek and when I get up to walk I look like an 80 year old woman hobbling around.  DH swears he didn't kick me in my sleep last night so I figure this has something to do with the joys of pregnancy and all's I can think of is sciatic nerve pain.  It hurts like a mofo though.

    Yep sounds like sciatic to me, mine shoots down my leg sometimes too. I can usually get the LO to shift a bit and it helps. Good luck!

    Definitely. Nice ha?! I had it when I was earlier in my pregnancy and then thank God it went away and now I have my little nerve thing wahoo!

    mine goes from the top of my butt down my leg (that's the path of the sciatic nerve);  its like a painful pulling...

    Well, at least it happened when I was 40 weeks pregnant instead of starting earlier on and lasting the entire time.

    Holy moly....I have had that for weeks! And all this time I've been telling people, "I'm so glad I never got sciatica!"

    That is a perfect way to describe the pain. Epsom salt baths really help me!

    I agree sciatic nerve pain! I have had it for longer the pregnancy and it sucks!!! Try sitting on a heating pad and taking Tylenol it helps! Feel better!

    I could sit and pout or throw myself a pity party but if I do that I'll end up crying and get a headache on top of it all so no point in that.  Instead I'd rather laugh at myself as I walk around the house.  Plus there is a positive to this all, I really do have an excuse now why I shouldn't go to my BIL's birthday party tonight.  Party!!!
