Baby Names

Opinions please

This is the first time I have posted on the names board.

 What are your honest opinions.....

Boy:  Brennon Jack  (Jack is my husbands name)

* Oh and question.... Is this a girl's name?  I have never heard it as a girl.

My other son's are Anthony (he is older), Carson, and Peyton

Re: Opinions please

  • I know a lot of Brennans, but not Brennon so that looks misspelled to me. The name is NMS, but i love Jack.

I was wondering about the spelling. I didn't use Brennan b/c it seemed girlish.

  • I prefer the spelling Brennan and I'm not usually a fan of the super popular Jack, but since it's your husbands name I'll give it a thumbs up.

Same here on Jack. That is why it is used for middle.

  • I really hate the Brennon spelling. Brennan is nice though, I've known male Brennans so I don't think it's girly at all.

Brennan is an Irish last name that people are using for their sons. I've never seen any girls named Brennan.

  • I like it.  One of my friends has a son named Brennen.

  • Brennon is NMS, it's okay. I think it goes well with your other boys' names.

this! Also, our boy name is Anthony so I was wondering if you had any nicknames for yours? I'm not a huge fan of Tony but wonder if saying Anthony will be too wordy on a daily basis?

    What has been your experience?

  • I've only seen it spelled Brennan, but it like Brennon Jack, as long as you don't mind the initials BJ.

  • It's fine, but I'd also spell it Brennan.  I think Carson, Peyton, and Brennan are a little rhyme-y, but go for it if that's your thing.
  • I love it!  I don't think it's a girl name.

I vowed when I named him to never call him Tony! LOL   It worked. We call him Anthony.  I have noticed we do call him Ant for short and so do some of his friends.  I usually just call him Anthony and it has never seemed to wordy.

  • I prefer Brennan Jack (and I've only heard it as a boy's name)
