I posted about a week ago about my 2 day trip to L&D that I earned thanks to my PIH and I just wanted to post an update on my situation since you were all so supportive in sharing your advice and your personal experiences with me!
Yesterday I met with my regular OB and also met with a high risk OB. The high risk OB will be doing my weekly NSTs and ultrasounds and sending the results (along with his opinion) to my regular OB. I will also continue to see my regular OB on a weekly basis. I had a great blood pressure reading at both offices (I was so happy I could have kissed the girl who took it!) which means the new dosage of meds seems to be working. Also, the urine and bw results for pre-e testing have all been normal and my urine samples continue to be protien free at regular OB appts! They have not put me on bedrest yet! yay!!
My NST looked "great," and the ultrasound was, mostly good. LO is measuring 5lbs and has a great big head which is currently down, right on top of my bladder (no big shock to me, considering I get up to pee 1000 times per night). We got to see her practicing breathing, on the ultrasound, which was kinda weird to me... Anyway, the only area of concern is the level of amniotic fluid I have right now. Dr. says it is still within the normal range but is down from last time he saw me (in L&D) and he wants to see me back Friday to check it again. I am following orders to drink lots of water (apparently dehydration can contribute to low fluid levels) and will see what Friday brings. At this time, he is not too concerned with it but he said if it continues to get lower we would have to induce! I'm really hoping LO can stay put for at least 4 more weeks! Anyone else have experience with "low fluid levels?" I'm not really sure what even causes that or if it's something that just happens??
Anyway, thanks again to everyone who responded to my previous post!
Re: An update to 2-day stay in L&D post
I am glad baby is doing better! Drink a lot and rest! I hope you can stay in for four more weeks!
BTW to previous post at 33 weeks 5 pounds is okay! They are supposed to be around 4.7 pounds at 33 weeks!
