If you've made wall letters with scrapbook paper, come in!

I remember a few ladies on here have made their wall letters with wooden letters from Hobby Lobby or similar, and scrapbook paper. I'm going to try this, but what kind of glue did you use to attach the scrapbook paper? I was thinking a gluestick, but that might not be so smooth. Thanks for any ideas!!!

I bought wrinkle-free scrapbook glue in the stick form. It worked really well.

I used a modge podge type of glue. At least I think that is what it was called. it is made by martha stewart and a liquid. Can you tell that I'm real crafty? I promise they look wonderful!

I made mine this weekend. I used this adhesive/clear gloss latex stuff that I had in my art supplies. I wouldn't use a glue stick if I were you, because it might not hold up over time. At least get some craft glue and brush it on with a paint brush, maybe. Mine turned out really really cute.

this is a dumb question, but how to you get the paper so smooth? Is it the big square "standard" scrapbook paper? I want to make these too and am reasonably crafty but don't want to screw 'em up!

Yes, I used standard sized scrapbook paper. And it is so smooth because I used the scrapbook wrinkle-free glue stick. I didn't have to smooth it out or anything. Worked like a charm and is really stuck on there.

thanks for the help, and I just looked at Hobby Lobby online and it's only $1.99 per letter, what a HUGE savings....I have seen ones for sale to the tune of $9.99 each!
