Anyone have the First Years True Fit?

Okay so this is the seat we got for Nicholas.  In the book it says to take the height insert out when baby reaches 22 lbs.  Okay great. Nicholas is 22 lbs, so I can take it out.  But do I leave that head pillow in there or does that come out too? It doesn't say in the book.  It just says about the height insert.   I plan to do extended rear facing (if that matters).

    We haven't used it yet either. It's sitting in my living room waiting for my DH to install it.

    I really can't answer your question because we started using it when Lil J was 3.5 - and I don't remember what I took out.  But, the only thing that is there now is the stuff that is attached to the actual seat.

    But, I wanted to let you know that I really like the seat.  He is almost 4 and still has lots of room.    The straps don't twist either.

    It was kinda a PIA to install (forward facing) because I did not understand one part of the directions.  But, as soon as I figured out what they meant, it was easy peasy

    We are using it RF for DS, who is 18 months.  We got them when he was 13 months (we have two) and immediatly removed all the extra padding because he was already 26 lbs and 30+ inches tall and didn't need it.
