I had my GGG done at 4 months. I'm so glad I did. They didn't fight me to clean then.... no playing around with them... no infections etc. I don't have to worry about getting them done later

I know people that have... I'm still on the fence about it... I wasn't allowed to get mine pierced until I could take care of them (around age 8 or 9) so that is influencing my decision.
I was allowed to get them done at 10 yo, and it was something special to look forward to (if a bit arbitrary).
DD and new baby will be the same (again, it's a bit arbitrary, true). They'll be old enough to take care of them on their own, and will understand that desires have consequences (ie pain or soreness), but may be worth it in the long run (pain/soreness goes away, but now they can wear earrings when they want to).

Wow, I haven't even thought about that yet! Guess I need to get out of boy mode and realize that I have girls now : ) I'll probably wait until the girls are older though, maybe around kindergarten if they show an interest.
I have not done it yet but would like to when they are younger. I screamed my head off when I got mine done. I'll probably wait until they are a year at least though.

No. MH and I have decided that our girls will not have their ears pierced until they know what that means and they decide that they want them pierced and can care for them.
I don't want to cause my babies any pain unless I absolutely have to. When they choose that pain on their own, and they are old enough to take care of them I will let them.

We are waiting until Olivia shows an interest and asks for them.
