Condell vs. Highland Park Hospital

Anyone deliver at either hospital? Which would you recommend?

(FWIW, I delivered at Condell & was not impressed - want to know if it's worth switching for the next one...) TIA

    We'll be moving to Gurnee in March and I considered changing my medical group to deliver up there... but decided to have a transition of care and stick with my ob/gyne here in the city.

    If we had changed medical groups, I would have chosen to deliver at Condell. Advocate Health has taken it over and it has been complete makeover for the positive. My bff is a dr who highly recommended Condell after spending some time interning there the past couple of years.

    Another friend of mine just delivered her son a couple weeks ago at Highland Park. She said it was fine and no complaints. No major comments, positive or negative either way.

    I delivered both my girls at Condell (before they were Advocate) and had no complaints. Ditto Joelen re: the Advocate changes though.

    I haven't delivered yet, but thought I would put in my $.02.  I have lived in the area all of my life and considering experiences with both hospitals, I would choose (I will deliver this bay) at Highland Park.  Even with the Advocate change, which was badly needed, I still prefer to drive the longer distance to Highland Park.
