I know this was posted yesterday/last night, but I wanted to see what you guys were doing for Valentine's Day. I have always told DH that I would prefer a single rose any given Wednesday over getting a bouquet of flowers on Valentine's Day. To me it means more. So we have always downplayed Valentine's Day.
This year, we will be in Lafayette for the baby showers (his family and mine are separate) on the Saturday. So I am going to try to get reservations at a great Cajun restaurant and surprise him.
Re: NBR: Valentine's Day
We usually go shopping at a fancy gourmet grocery store and cook something fancy like Mussels Fra Diavlo, or Leg of Lamb. We get drunk on wine, cook, and just enjoy eachother. We are foodies/winos, so it works for us. We never compete for a restaurant reservation, and it's fancier than normal
This year, our baby shower and his 30th BDay party are all that weekend, so I have a feeling we will not be going overboard with the food.
I would be happy if we just lounged on the couch, truthfully!
Hopefully taking care of a newborn!
Seriously, though, we don't really do up V-day. Maybe we'll get a card. I usually make an effort to cook dinner so that we can sit at the table and get some uninterrupted 1 on 1 time. That's about it.
Dx: PCOS and short luteal phase
18 cycles (3 with our RE) - Metformin + Clomid + HCG booster did the trick!

We're going on a ski trip with MIL and her family and friends. So I might be hanging out at the lodge with hot chocolate and a good book. Maybe I can convince DH to go grab a hot cider with me for an hour or so to be away from the kids and the craziness of family
Watching the Daytona 500!
If all goes as planned, we'll be in L&D.... either way, I'll be watching the Daytona 500.
"Oh, we are going to a BFing class that afternoon so that will be super romantic too. ;-P"
We went to our BFing class on our anniversary! haha
We'll be taking care of a 5 day old so probably not a whole lot! We don't typically do much for V-day anyway, usually just dinner out and some wine. My family will be here so it won't exactly be romantic but I plan on partaking in a glass of wine (or two)!
If my EDD is right, I'll be having a baby!
This...usually we go out for a nice dinner at our favorite place, but this year I'm hoping DH will just get me some good takeout, whether we're at the hospital or home!
