  • Just chugging along here.  I can't believe I only have 2 more days in the 1st trimester.  Our next OB appointment is on 2/5 and assuming everything is still going well, we will start telling extended family and friends!

Got our NT scan results back today and our risk is 1/10,000 so we will be able to skip the 2nd trimester bw because it probably won't change anything. Yay!!!!

  • I really don't have much to update. Im waiting on DH to come home on R&R to complete his SA and then we will go from there...........

BR~ Can't believe you are almost at your second trimester already :0)

  • Thanks for the good luck!  I am so excited!  We are looking to transfer the 3rd or 4th week of February.  Lupron tomorrow!

Congrats to BRS on the 1st tri!  And congrats and good luck to FloridaKat on the ultrasound!

  • I am a frequent lurker on this check in and plan to join if my IVF is a BFN.  Since I am not an official member, I hope you don't mind if I respond to the QOTW. I would love to hear what other boards, internet sites, etc. others frequent for information on using DE.

  • Update - Today is 8dp6dt. I started spotting yesterday. It's brown and not too heavy, which I know is supposed to be ok but it still has me worried. I actually didn't spot at all in my failed cycle. Beta is still 6 days away and I'm not going to POAS. I'm too scared to!

BRS - that first trimester flew by! I bet you can't wait to share the news with your extended family and friends.

  • i'm not asking to be added to the checkin - but I have been a lurker and with our recent news, i just wanted to say hi, and introduce myself if anyone doesn't know me.

we just found out that my AMH is sucktastic and if our next IVF doesn't work, it's likely that DE are in our future.

Any advice you girls have is welcomed with open ears.

BRS - i can't believe you are almost out of 1st tri! I'm SO happy for you.

FloKat - i didn't know that you were in this checkin - but i'm amazingly happy for you as well.

  • Sorry I have a tough time getting on during the day...

BRS - Congrats on getting ready to leave the first tri behind!

Floridakat - can't wait for your u/s results!

Rachel - hope everything is ok - I can't believe that your beta is so late! You have great willpower - I could never hang on that long!

...and welcome to the newbie/lurkers - I hope you both don't end up here but if you do, you'll be welcomed.

Nothing from me to update - still biding my time waiting for the right donor to come along :)

B., I'll also think of some future QOTDs if I can and email to you...

    B/G twins!

  • Update:  We have decided not to go through with an FET at this time.  We're going to give it some more serious thought and might possibly do it in late summer/early fall, but there's a good chance we won't at all, which means we'll have to figure out what to do with our 6 embryos (pretty sure we'll donate them but I wonder what the chances are that someone will actually adopt them?).  So for now I'm just a "graduate".

I was told last fall that I had zero antral follicles and would have to pursue DE if I was going to get pregnant. My H and I started looking into it (as well as donor embryo) and domestic adoption. I asked my RE to continue my baseline monitoring anyway, and my numbers and ovaries started to rebound after a major surgery I had had.

Anyway, I was already a part of this checkin when I found out I was going to be able to try to cycle with my own eggs, and these amazing ladies were kind enough to let me stay.
