Trying to Get Pregnant

That Aunt F sure is a b*tch!

This is the worst AF I've ever had.  Cramps, upset stomach, exhaustion, nasty clumps (sorry, disgusting I know!) and so on.  I was discussing it with my mom, and she thought it might be because my BCP is finally completely out of my system.  I stopped taking it back in Aug. '09 after 7 years...

Anyone else notice a huge difference between their menstruation cycle on BCP vs. off of them?  Did you notice changes after being off BCP for a few months?  Just wondering if I'm the only freak of nature!  Stick out tongue

Re: That Aunt F sure is a b*tch!

  • I have had a lot more cramps since stopping BCPs.  However, my period seems to be a lot lighter than it was before taking BCPs.  I was on BCPs for around 9 years.  I have been off for a little over a year now.

  • Unfortunately, all my AFs since coming off BCP (in July of '09) have been medically induced. They are much heavier, annoying, and greusome but I don't know if they would be that way normally, or if it's the Provera.

  • She sure is!!  AF showed up last eve and my yearly is supposed to be today!  I just want to punch her in the face and strangle her!!!   I was on BCP for 7 years also, but the whole reason I was put on them was because of my awful periods.  I used to pass out, throw up, and cramp so bad I couldn't even walk... LOVED being in BCP but have been off for almost 2 years.

Last night I asked DH how he would feel if I had a sex change because I can't handle these cramps anymore.  Gotta love DH's response "well... I heard people sometimes change after marriage... but I didn't expect this...."

So, no, you're not a freak of nature, nature is just a freak sometimes!

  • AF on the pill isn't a natural period, so it tends to be lighter/shorter.
