I came on this site in 2008 and lurked mostly. Then just kind of jumped in on here and started posting. I usually frequent on Trouble TTC board, but see this is where that board is going. So...I feel that I've been rude and not introduced myself...
DH and I have been married a year 2 Sunday's ago, and have been TTC for 2 years. We went to my normal gyno and she put me on 3 cycles of Clomid that obviously didn't work, and she didn't monitor me during (ultra sound, blood work, etc.). She found a "mass" on an ultra sound she did due to a eptopic (sp?) pregnancy scare, and said she didn't know what it was but it shouldn't be a problem (?!).
A friend I work with had problems TTC and they went to a gyno who believes in "process of elimination" by doing basic tests that aren't normally done. We made an appt with him and did the post coital (sp?), follie check, and MRI of my pelvis. Due to the MRI he found I have a unicornus uterus. I had surgery Dec 15th, and he was very happy with the results (I didn't have blood pockets or endometriosis), but found that I was having multiple m/c and didn't know. During surgery he made an incision to make my uterus one unit, although my "blind horn" (deformed side) resembles a tube. My ovarie and fallopian tube work fine on that side so he didn't want to take out the deformity just yet. This doc so far has been awesome, and thankfully has the same knowledge as an IF doc. We're sticking with him until we've exhausted every outlet.
Right now I'm on CD10, my first cycle since surgery, and am anxious b/c the doc said once I get pregnant we have to watch and make sure the baby stays in the "good" side. If not, my blind horn could explode, and either way I'd have to have surgery to remove the baby and deformity. Also, I will be high risk for pre-term.
Sorry this is such a long intro, I'm still learning, but wanted to formally introdue myself, and wanted to thank everyone so far for the support and ideas given to me!!!
