How many items in size Newborn should I have on hand. I had about 7 (all gifts), and then just received another 7 or so as gifts. Should I return them for larger sizes? Right now OB is approximating that the baby is 6lbs and I have 3 weeks to go, give or take.
TIA!!
Re: ? from 3rd tri- # of NB outfits
I would keep them...
You might be surprised how large NB fits your baby. We are just getting in the 0-3 months and she's almost 10 lbs. Also carters fits pretty true to size. Her NB in her carter clothes were a little bulky on the way home but we relied on them once home.
At night we do a onesie and swaddle. Babies don't need to be super warm. If you keep your house cool at night I would do a hat....
During the day I did a onesie, socks and baby legs.
Good luck!
Make sure you don't only have footed onesies. My LO has long legs and already cannot wear the footed things but she's not heavy/big enough for 0-3 footed things either.
The gowns are great and footless onesies and legless onesies are great. You probably want at least 10 or so.
Ditto! Everyone told me that I would be fine with 3-4 newborn outfits and the rest 0-3 mo. LO was 7 pounds 3oz, and she was swimming in the newborn outfits for the first week at least. Even now, she doesn't really fit in the 0-3 mo outfits yet.
I would keep all of them for now, but maybe keep the tags on a few so you could return for other sizes if your LO gains weight quickly?
My LO has just grown out of NB. I'd say 12-15 would be perfect. People will likely give you some when youe LO is born also.
We have about 6 sleepers, 4 pairs of pants, 10 plain onesies, 6 patterned, long sleeved onesies, 2 sweaters and two fleece zip-up hoodies
I do laundry every other day to wash blankets, burp cloths, clothes and towels.?
All hosptial nurses and pedi says baby should never sleep with a hat on.. Its a sids risk for suffication...
