  That is frustrating. I had that problem and found a good tech at our police station who took her time and got great prints for me. I'll send you a PM of some other advice I've gotten.

  My fingerprints are total crap...we had to do mine twice.  We got the good prints at the police station.

  UGH...I've so been there.  The third time was the charm for me. 

  Last time you mentioned you went to a high-tech scan type place...maybe try it old school at the police station?

  Also, ask your CW if it is possible to expidite them.  Ours offered to do this on the third go around and it saved us a bit of time:)

  That stinks! 

  Are you doing ink or computer-based scanning?  If ink, see if they can do multiple cards at the same time -- that way if one of the cards is bad, there are still others available and you won't have to be re-fingerprinted.  If computer-based scanning, make sure your fingertips are not too dry when you are printed (use lotion a little while beforehand).  And see if it's possible to expedite the prints, so you know sooner whether there is any problem.

  I'm sorry, that sucks!

  When they get denied do you have to pay again to have them redone?  Just curious because our agency would only let us go through 1 specific company for this and I never thought there was a chance that they could be denied and now I'm really thinking about this.

  we actually didn't have to pay for them...DCFS pays for them.
  

  Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever! Expecting again after IVF

  My mil's were denied, and we won't have to pay again, but she does have to go the same place try again. ?

  My husband always took 2 or 3 times.

   

  One tip I learned was to always send in the rejected prints WITH the new prints. Sometimes they can get prints from one that they can't get with the other and then pass them through. We had to do this. I definitely feel your pain and frustration!!!
