Does anyone have a play yard with the twin bassinets? Just wondering what to get for twins prior to putting them in their cribs.. if I chose to keep them in our room.
We have one and set it up this weekend. Babies aren't here yet, so I haven't used it though, so I can't give you first hand experience about if it's worth it or not.
considering that the weight limit is very low for those bassinets- i wouldn't buy one to use for an every night type of thing for both babies.... though, having the bassinet is nice for young babies so you don't have to put them all the way down in the bottom to have them in there --- I can say we haven't used the PNP yet for the twins - we used it mostly for Griffin as a changing table as an infant- and then used it to contain him when he started to get mobile, when we needed a safe spot for a little while (like to go to the bathroom).... once the twins are mobile we'll be using it again.
i highly recommend arms reach cosleepers - we had 2 of the minis and they were AWESOME --- you can see babies - don't have to get up to replace a paci, etc. We got ours used on craigslist and saved a ton.
we used one, but downstairs for nap time. at some point they decided they were NOT going to nap in it. we will use the play yard though as soon as they are mobile so i cant say it was a waste of money.
My understanding is that each napper has a weight limit of 15 lbs EACH! Once they are out of the nappers you can use the PNP for what it was intented. I found the best price on amazon.com so I don't think its a waste of money.
