DH told me this and said therefore he can no longer rub my feet.

He still does. He knows whats good for him.

DH rubbed my feet almost daily throughout my 3rd tri & I never went into labor. (Induced after EDD)

My pedicure place wouldn't rub my feet while I was pregnant. DH rubs my feet every night. He won't next time I'm pregnant. Just in case. I'm pretty sure that's not why my water broke, though.

I am a certified massage therapist.

There are certain spots on the feet/hands/ears that according to accupressure/accupuncture can induce labor.

As long as you know what you're doing youre fine.

For accupuncture/accupressure to work, it is believed that you have to have "intent" so if its just DH rubbing around, I wouldnt worry about it.

Many places who hire nincompoops wont touch the feet and lower legs b/c of risk of clotting. Many people dont have the education as to how to spot a possible clot.

the WTE book says not to let them touch your foot between ankle bone and heel. I agree w/ robin, they should know what they are doing and I'd go to someone who does.
