childcare grrrrr

Hi!  My 2nd post and it's a semi-vent Embarrassed

How much do you pay in childcare a week, if you use it?  My son was at a center until recently.  They raised tuition so it then became more than I make.  I am looking at other options via craigslist.  Where else should I be looking?

I am in the Oregon City/West Linn/Gladstone-ish area, if that matters at all!

I just want good care that won't cost me an arm and a leg Crying

    I will likely be going with private in home care.  I have three options, two are mothers of my co-workers and only watch 2-3 children currently (which include my co-workers children) and a friend from high school that provides in home care.  I will be paying around $500/month for 3 days per week for an infant.  Based on daycare center prices I have seen, this was a LOT lower.

    I have an in-home place that I LOVE, but she's not taking any more kids right now.  I found her from craigslist, so there are some good ones out there!

    Whatever you do, DO NOT use a Child's Kingdom in Milwaukie.  You can PM me if you want more details.  I pulled my kid out after 5 weeks, and filed a complaint with the state right after.  They are AWFUL.

    Check out childcareratingz.com to find reviews of places near you. Prices vary so much, it's hard to compare. We currently pay $650 a month for 4 days a week.
