Am I the only one?

who feels angry with DC when i am long-term sleep deprived and he is fussy/needy? the worst is when i put him down for a nap, he fights it for a while, finally falls asleep, then i try to nap, finally fall asleep, and he wakes literally 5 min later.

i know its irrational and wrong, but i feel i cant control my feelings of anger when i am on 4 hrs or less of sleep. of course i dont act on it ... no more than some curse words, usually in the other room.

p.s. we have no family here and i WAH so i never get a break from him.

DEFINATELY not the only one. I love my little baby, but when she's up for the 5th time at night, I want to scream at her. She's almost 6 months old! She should be dropping a nighttime feeding, not adding one!!!!

I feel the same way sometimes. We don't have family either. I sometimes get so irritated and just go in another room and take deep breaths! It's nice to know others have the same feelings. (not that I'm glad you feel this way!!)

This was totally me last night when DD woke up at 10 p.m. after only being down for 2 hours...and it took until after midnight to get her back to sleep! I wanted to cry and felt like such a horrible mother for feeling mad at her. You are not alone...

I do have help so that I actually can work but I am with them most of the time.

Thanks, ladies. It's good to have people to commiserate with. I know we all love our LOs to pieces, but, seriously, sometimes it's enough to drive a person mad.

when they are feeding themselves, out of diapers, and sleeping 10-12 hours straight every night, i am sure we will recall these days fondly (maybe)!
