Went in for my 37 week appt on Thursday and they told me I would have
to go straight to the hospital because I had developed pre-e. Yikes. I
was sure we'd have another week.
Anyway...
Noah Xavier and Lily Anne arrived by c-section on January 21st at 12:58
and 1pm. Noah was 7 lbs and 19 inches, Lily was 5 lbs 10 oz and 18.5
inches. Both are doing amazing and neither needed any special care.
We are still in the hospital due to my blood pressure issues, but I finally get to go home tomorrow!!!
(If anyone else had high BP issues, I'd love to hear positive stories.
They are going to send me home on procardia and I still feel kinda
crappy - BP mainly hovering at 180/90)
I'll upload more pics later and post a more detailed birth story, but for now...

How to tell my boys apart
The different types of twins and triplets
Jack, Sydney and Carynne, Annaleigh, JW, Eden...forever in our hearts.
My blog * We made the national news!
they are adorable! Love how your boy is so much bigger - he'll protect his lil sis.
Great weights for 37w!! Congrats!
And give big bro red head a hug from me- it's nice to have twins + a toddler red head
I was just asking about you over on MB!
CONGRATS!!!!!!
Good job making it to 37w. I love their names and they are just beautiful!!!
Congratulations! They are beautiful and I love their names.
Great weights, too! Though sorry about the pre-e.
They were born on my due date (from '09).
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
Congrats! They are beautiful.
With my DD - I was induced because my BP was so high. They told me once I delivered it would go back to normal. I also showed signs of Pre-e.
It didn't. I delivered her vaginally and they had me on mag during the entire time I was induced and afterwords also.
After I came off the mag it never went down and they immediately put me on the same meds that you are one and they kept having to raise the dosage.
Once they released me - I had to continue to go to the OB/GYN office twice a week for blood pressure checks.
At my 6 week PP appointment my blood pressure was still up even on the meds. They released me to my normal family doctor. I had to see him within 2 weeks of my PP appointment.
We discussed a game plan and he kept me on the meds another month - I went back and my BP was better. We slowly weaned me off the meds and I went back every 2 weeks to see how it went. I eventually came off the meds, but knew while talking to my FP that their was a possiblity that this could have been a permant issue.
I had my DD in April and by the end of August I was off the meds and my blood pressue was back to normal.
I haven't had a problem since. I was worried that I might have the same issue with the twins when I was pregnant. My BP was perfect.
Good luck - and try to rest as much as you can and try to relax.
Congrats!
You have two beautiful babies & I love their names too!
Congratulations! They're beautiful!!
I hope you start to feel better soon.
So cute!!! I hope your bp problem resolves soon so you can go home.
My boys were exactly the same weight difference as your babies. Now, 10 months later, my peanut weighs about 2 pounds more!
After a PCOS dx, 18 months of trying, 3 rounds of clomid and 2 follistim IUIs our babies are here!
awww...congrats!
I had BP issues...when I got sent home my BP stayed was around 150/100...they had me have my mom (an RN) check it every day 2 times a day, and since it didn't drop after the first week they put me on something...I forget what it was called, but something with an "L" sounds familar...I was on it for a month and it took about that long for it to drop back down to normal...good luck!
Congrats, they are beautiful! I had mine via c section due to pre e.I stayed in the hospital for a full week, due to pressure staying up and enzyme levels not going down. I went home on bp meds and unfortunately can't remember how long I was on them, but I would say 6 weeks.
Feel better!!! Get rest, if you have help, drink tons of water and enjoy your precious babies!
