Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Just opened a brand new pack of Pampers Swaddlers...

What I love about these is the line that turns blue when its wet...Well this whole pack is missing the line. It must a defective package...its the exact same thing as the pack I used last week. I want to call Pampers and complain! Maybe they'll send me some coupons!

  • The ones that have the line are the Swaddlers Sensitive (white package).

The yellow package do not have the yellow line.

    You have the right pack?

  • It's not defective, I've had a few packages like that. I just don't think they're using the line anymore.

  • I had this happen to me last week...they aren't defective.

Not all packs of Swaddlers have the line...the only way to tell is to look at the diaper on the front of the package where it says "blankie soft"...if this diaper has the line, you are good...if not, there is no line on the diapers.

I've been known to go through every package of diapers at Target, only buying the ones with the line ;-)

And...once you get to size 2, there are no lines on the regular Swaddlers...but the sensitives have it...

    ::scratches head::

I've never gotten a yellow package that had the line.  Go figure.

  • They redesigned, I think. The new ones are awful- they stick to my son!

I paw through the packs to find the old ones with the line.

  • I did not know about this line/no line thing!  I guess I have been lucky because all the ones I have gotten have had the line.  I love the line!
  • I had a box of NB swaddlers where all of the diapers had the line. I went to the store and bought a new box (identical to the first box) of NB swaddlers and guess what, no line! It's ok though, I liked the line, but I would feel guilty if I didn't change her the second the line turned blue. Now, I change her every time she eats or every 3 hours (depending on which comes first) and I think I go through less diapers. Of course if she is poopy or I notice she is really wet before the 3 hour mark I do change her.

  • This has been going on for a long time even when I was on this board. We had a bumpie who called and the pampers people said that not all diapers have the line that some packs is just a chance you may or may not get the line diapers. They are looking into putting the line into all types of their diapers. So the diapers are not defective you just got a pack that does not have the line and for the normal pack there is no way to tell if there is a line or not.

I've had a few like that, not a whole box though. That sucks.

  • Is a line really needed to know if a diaper is wet?

They stick to my son, too! He hates it when I have to peel it off his little butt, just to wipe and change him.

  • I'm almost done a whole box and had no idea that line turned colors.  I just checked and sure enough the line is blue and DS needs changing.  Too cool!

I think it's pretty dumb to remove the line. Not only does it set them apart but I think I go through more diapers because of it. If DS doesn't feel wet but I see the blue I'll change him. Without the line I would have let him stay in the diaper.

  • Huggies does the line too in NB size. Not sure about bigger sizes.
