Swelling on 1 side?

Has this happened to anyone else?

I have a little bit of swelling on my left foot, but my right side is downright scary. My foot looks like it's going to pop, my ankle looks like I have 3 ace bandages under the skin, and it's puffy all the way up to my virtually non-existent knee. Even my shin bones are under an inch of mush.

WTH???

    This would scare me. I'd call your doc, for real. I'm pretty sure swelling on one side can be a sign of things that need to be addressed.

    If it's on one side and excessive, you should call your OB.  Uneven, excessive swelling is a sign of something bad.

    I agree with PP.. Call the doctor. Better safe than sorry. Seems odd that you're that swollen on one side. Good luck.

    I mostly only lurk, but wanted to let you know that I have the same thing and it is not always a sign of something bad. As long as there is no redness or pain on your right leg, it is likely just the way your body is reacting to pregnancy (vs. a blood clot, which is what the major concern for one-sided swelling would be). I am 34 weeks pregnant and have had swelling on the left side since around 18 weeks. My doctor did send me for an ultrasound to check for a blood clot, but all is well. Just wanted to give you another opinion so you didn't freak out. Definitely have your doctor check it out, though!
