Stop drinking while TTC?

Have you stopped drinking alcohol completely while TTC?  Only avoid alcohol after ovulation and drink again after getting AF?  I'm not sure what the right thing to do is.  Sorry if this is a dumb question!  TIA!

    I haven't, but I drink very little anyway.  I have one or two drinks a month (usually before ovulation), but I'm sure I've had a drink after as well.

    My motto is drink until you see pink!  I did the same with DD, or that would have been the longest 23 months of my life.  Wishing you luck!

    Thanks ladies =)  I like the motto of drinking until you see pink!  I'm not a big drinker anyway, more of social drinking - glass or two of wine with dinner.

    I agree with Hav2Run...But I certainly don't binge...I have a few drinks here and there with dinner!

    I don't drink very much (other than virtually!). But I agree with "Drink 'till it's pink!"

    What I do enjoy is caffeine. Ahhhhh!  I gave it up altogether briefly, but then decided that one cup a day should be fine, at least while TTC.  My RE says one cup is fine during pregnancy, too. During AF, I have more if I want.

    Not a dumb question.

    I was never much of a drinker to begin with and so I didn't really change my alcohol consumption much.  I did, however, cut down on my caffeine (I actually switched to half caff/half decaff). 

    Saying that, it's been such a long road for me that I've gotten to a point where I say 'Fluck it' and don't worry too much anymore about these kinds of things.  I asked my Dr her opinion on this subject and she said she has never noticed a difference either way, just don't be excessive about it.

    Many a women have conceived while in a drunken stupor.

    Oh god no, not completely. Only a glass here or there in the 2ww.

    I figure eat well, be healthy, drink in moderation and have sex!

    My OB mentioned that drinking while trying to conceive can affect fertility.  But, I think that she meant after ovulation only.  Before ovulation...I don't think it matters.  Alcohol doesn't stay in the body that long.

    I never have but am considering it now 1dpIUI.  I'm suppose to go to MNO tonight...may have one.  I'm not a huge drinker much anymore but I do like to drink a beer after work or have a glass of wine a few nights a week.

    I've stopped, and I'm not enjoying it at all.  I'm a middle school teacher...I need an occasional adult beverage.
