3 hour glucose test

If you've had the 3 hour test done could you please tell me about it. I am doing mine tomorrow morning, and kind of freaking out. I hate to have my blood drawn, hate it! I cry every time & almost pass out, it's just horrible. I thought you only had to have it drawn 3 times, then I heard 4, now after talking to the dr's office I found out its 5!!!! Crying

I just wish I could get over this fear and not have to feel this way about it!!!

    Bless your heart!  Everytime I have something unpleasant happen at the OB or due to pregnancy, I try to remind myself that its for LO...not for me!  It helps me get through the rough stuff!

    I wasn't scared of the needle but was shaken up about the entire process...I think my blood was drawn 4 times total but it's different for everyone. All I can say is to try to remain calm, remember to breathe, and think of your awesome LO on the other side of it...I'm sure you'll be and do fine.

    See I could handle that! That would be sooo nice haha! They did a finger pick for my 1 hour. I asked though and they said this one was blood drawn out of my arm, no finger picking.

    Ugh - I'm so sorry ; (  I HATE having blood drawn.  I passed out w/DD but did o.k. this time around.  Ask them if they can take you to an exam room or somewhere where you can lie down when they draw your blood.  That helped me a lot!  Good luck!!!
