RE Vent

Why doesn't my RE call back when things are so time sensitive????  I couldn't get to monitoring this morning because of the weather.  At 8 am I asked her secretary if she could call me after 3 to discuss my options for this cycle...well no call..I just called again and the effing answering service says "well she will call you tomorrow because she is done for the day."  Say what????  I don't respond to Clomid past day 3...so it looks like I am totally on my own this cycle.  I HATE this schedule, I HATE that I have to be worried all the time about appointments and meds, I HATE IF!!!!! I need a good cry!!!!

    I'm so sorry!  You'd think that your RE would be accustomed to seeing patients who (because dealing with IF is so darn frustrating) need to hear results and advice in a timely manner. 

     Have a good cry and then do something nice for yourself.  I'm sorry this happened to you. 

    image 30 y/o with PCOS HSG normal, SA essentially normal (slightly low morph but good # and motility) 50 mg Clomid...zip; 100 mg Clomid...nada; 150 mg Clomid...zilch 1/10 Injectable cycle with Gonal-F, Ovidrel, and TI.....Beta 2/22...BFN 2/10 Injectable cycle with Gonal-F and Follistim (long story), Ovidrel..BFN 4/10 Injectable cycle (see above). BFP but early m/c 5w5d. 5/10 Break cycle due to BFC (Big Fat Cyst)...darn it all 6/10 Injectable cycle +IUI...BFN 7/10 Injectable cycle + IUI.....BFP!!! Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

    I would be so pissed!!!! I am sorry hon. I know how frustrating this can be and that does not help the situation!

    the answering service operator was a total biitch!!!!  i should just go refill it on my own.

    Oh I hate that!  Why couldnt she return your call before leaving for the day?  isn't she supposed to finish up before going home?

    Hope she calls first thing in the morning, but if not, i'd call back early tomorrow

    So sorry you aren't getting phone calls back in a timely manner.  The waiting sucks!  You would think that they would understand that they should provide a phone call within a reasonable time -- especially when most of us are waiting by the phone with bated breath waiting for RE phone calls.  Hope you get some answers soon!

    Ugh...that sucks! I hate it when doctors don't do their job! Is there another RE  you could switch to? Maybe it is time to look for someone who can do what you need?

    I'm so sorry. IMO this is really not okay. Does your RE do this often? If so, do you have any flexibility as far as being able to see someone else?

    I know that it doesn't help you right now, but there's no excuse for not calling. I'm frustrated for you.
