NBR: Tell me how to make these Re: dinner

I want to make pork chops for dinner tonight.  I usually bread and bake them, but I'm not feeling that tonight.  How do you like to cook your pork chops?

  • I rub mine with seasoning and sautee them for a few minutes. I particularly like fresh chopped thyme and oregano but mix in blackened for a spicier rotation as well.

Sounds weird but I promise it's good - Cook 4 pork chops with cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 cup of ketchup on low for 8 hours.  I serve it with rice or potatoes and a salad,

  • Last night I stuffed them with blue cheese, bread crumbs, rosemary, sauteed onions & mushrooms. ?

I'm sure you could use any cheese and extra stuff (maybe cheddar, apples, breadcrumbs, etc.). ?

I pan seared each side first, then put the whole pan in the oven at 325 for 1 hour (they were thick). ?

When I took them out I made a sauce with the pan drippings, red wine and chicken stock (I thickened it a bit with cornstarch and water). ?

We are actually having the leftovers tonight. ?

Crock Pot Pulled Pork Recipe: Take a whole pork tenderloin and put it in the crock pot with a bottle of Catalina salad dressing. ?Put on low for the whole day. ?Shred the pork before you serve it.

  • Brown pork chops on both sides in a pan. Put in a baking dish with rice and cream of mushroom soup. Bake. For a more detailed recipe, look on allrecipes.com search "Minnesota pork chops" Yes
  • My hubby does our pork chops and he marinates them for like 15 mins in balsamic vinegar, red wine vinegar, mushrooms, and whatever spices smell good and the simmers them in a pan for like 20 ish minutes until done.  Very good, but if your not a big fan of vinegars (which I am not) add some light beer.  All the alcohol will cook away and it makes them even juicier!  I may have to have my hubby buy more now.
