Med Q and BF

I plan to bf DS3 and I am having my dr. prescribe a med right after I deliver due to my history with my other two boys.  My ? is which meds are safe while bf or ep??  I would like something other than Zoloft or Lexapro bc I had trouble sleeping when I took them in the past.  Thanks!!

    The only anti depressant that has really been tested with breastfeeding moms is Zoloft.  It seems that most doctors are okay with Lexapro and nursing, but that is about it.

    My dr.put me on paxil and I bf. I have seen a few other posts about paxil as well.

    I was on Lexapro before I got pg and then stopped taking it.  i called my GP about getting back on it while BFing and he said not to unless it was absolutely necessary.....we are getting there.  He said there hasn't been enough research on the possible effects.....that's all i knwo and just from one doc opinion
